How Does Elder Answer's Senior Placement Service Work?
Assessment
After you call or email, we’ll spend personal time together assessing your family’s situation and your loved one’s specific care needs.
This meeting can be just with the family decision makers, or it can include the senior needing placement.
We will talk about the specific level and type of care required, the type of environment needed and desired, your family’s timing of needing services, your family’s budget and finances, your preferred locations and other specific family preferences.
Suggestions and Referrals
Once we fully understand your family’s unique circumstances, we’ll connect you with those care providers that meet your specific criteria.
We will (with your permission) put you directly in touch with those suggested providers with a comprehensive email and a follow up phone conversation.
Your family will be given all the details you need to begin making informed decisions.
Elder Answers does not recommend, only refer. We’ll generally suggest at least two providers and most often three to five. Making comparisons is an important step in your decision making.
Our senior placement service will guide you through the process to the best of our ability, but the final decision will always be yours.
Visits
Once your family is ready, you’ll visit as many or as few of the referred care providers as you would like.
We’ll go with you, or you prefer to go on your own, that’s fine too. We’re happy to set up visits for you.
We are available to address any concerns, answer all questions, and make any changes needed.
Evaluation and Follow Up
Whether it’s a week or a year, we’ll continue this process until you find assisted living, or the specific type of care that meets your needs.
We can also assist with any logistical details.
We’ll follow up with you and the care provider you’ve chosen to ensure everything is as it should be in the weeks following any transition.

Elder Answers placement service is provided at no charge to San Diego County families. Compensation comes from the San Diego assisted living communities, memory care facilities, and board and care homes.
